It’s been a “crappy” day

 I’m still smiling

Several “crappy” things happened today, but I choose to look on the bright side. While I was at an appt this morning, the boys’ teacher texted me that Jake had multiple accidents and needed more clothes as well as shoes. So I head to Walmart to grab spare pants and play shoes. I even decide to grab a pair for Jesse “just in case.” Jake is taking augmentin for his sinus infection, so I think that was the major issue.

While I was checking out, I was chatting with the cashier. I told her what I was doing with the clothes. (I honestly have no idea why.) She proceeded to tell me that she gets calls like that. She has a 6 yr old son that is severely autistic. Through conversation, I find out that she recently moved from Miami and wasn’t familiar with any local services. I gave her my email address.

As I was leaving, I decided to stop at the ATM to quickly get some cash. Um, no. That didn’t happen. I could hear the money spinning, but it wouldn’t spit it out. Then all the lights were blinking. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I called the number and the nice lady said I would have to call the bank and dispute the charge. Nice.

I could have left Walmart very irritated because I don’t even like going there. I wasn’t happy about the reason I was there. To top it off, the machine kept my money. I wasn’t irritated. I wasn’t angry. I just smiled and said it’s going to be a great day. The greeter kindly smiled back at me when he heard me say that because he was near the machine and saw what happened. I smiled bigger and said, “Merry Christmas.” A couple other things have gone “wrong” today, but it’s ok. Maybe the whole reason i was in that Walmart was to offer support for that young mother and her autistic son? Yes, I’m still smiling.
